"Hiroshima Kagura" Regular Performances

Kagura in Downtown Hiroshima

Kagura is a Shinto theatrical dance based on some stories, performed by dancers, who dressed in gorgeous costumes and expressive masks, and by musicians who play drums and pipes.

Hiroshima Prefecture has a thriving Kagura community and Kagura is performed every week in Kagura Monzen Toji Village, which is in the far north of Hiroshima Prefecture.
However, you can see Kagura in downtown Hiroshima every Wednesday until December, 27, 2017.

Do not miss the chance and enjoy the real Japanese traditional performance.

Scheduled End : 8:45 pm (commemorative photo shoot after the performance)

* The performance may be called off by stormy weather
* Please perform the photography at an admitted place
* Photography using strobes or flashes is prohibited

Photo Session

After the performance (at 8:45 pm), you can enjoy taking commemorative photos on stage.
During which, you can take pictures together with the Kagura characters and photos while wearing Kagura costumes and masks.
